Hi all .Went to Grandparent's assembly and they were all so cute.
Nice and sensible school, you are allowed to take pics as long as for private use.So that was good.
Each member of the class had to say what was good about their mummy, ours said cus she takes him to McDonalds. My Daughter was mortified.

RIP. EDDIE STOBART.
56 is no age to die at, a high pressure life style doesn't do any good. He probably had his warnings but took no notice. Now he has paid the price, sad really he spends all his life slaving away to earn a fortune and dies before he has a chance to enjoy it.

Phil, you must have read my mind, I was about to post more or less the same comments.
I've just finished another day at the Westbourne on the last sigm, gold leaf outline tomorrow and fix on Saturday.
At least I don't get no stress, sat there twiddling a brush between my fingers and dreaming of all sorts, (not liquorice, before any one gets that one in).
Phil, you must be bursting with pride.Well done to your Grandson. Are the brains from the wifes side of the family LOL
Sad news re Eddie stobart.

I think I am only outdone in pride by my son, we all expected him to pass but to pass so well is quite an achievement. The only trouble is we are going to have to watch that that we don't expect too much from him and he is allowed to develop slowly. My son has got his place booked at Oxford already, well he might as well as it seems that they are all going to charge the maximum £9000 per year. As if there was any doubt that they would.

Morning all,
Damp and misty, as was all day yesterday, off to do my bit for the country.
Had a bit of a shock yesterday, had to price a job and decided to check on the price of gold leaf, in 2 months it's gone from £12.50 a book to £21.00 per book, glad I decided to check before pricing as there are 20 books involved.
Here's a sad bit of nostalgia for us oldies.

Morning all,
John theres a couple of things in that auction I wouldn't mind having, though as a kid I wasn't a Roy Rogers fan. He was too soppy always much too friendly with the women and not a real man like Hopalong Cassidy or the Lone Ranger.

Congratulations Phil.
So you want your grandson to turn into another David Cameron do you?
Mike not all graduates from Oxford become Tory's and there is very little chance that my my grandson would as I would be second in the queue behind my son to explain what life is really about to him. As far as being Prime Minister well you never know.
