Anyway after all that awful weather we have a bit of sunshine now.

I had a coffee on the seafront a couple of weeks ago
whilst I was out taking photos, after the girl had served me she started talking and asking about cameras, and suddenly she said " I've seen you before, do you live here ?", I said yes, she got up went to the till and gave me 50p back, I charged you holiday makers price, and laughed, I won't be going there again, that's one thing I don't condone.

Signman, I reckon she was chatting you up and there isn't really a holiday makers price at all.

Where did you take that shot Phil? Hippo's still aren't very common in Solihull.

You haven't been to my part of Solihull ! No to be quite honest I took the youngest great grandson for his first trip to West Mid Safari Park on Wednesday. To be quite honest I wish I hadn't it was absolutely packed. You would have thought it was a bank holiday Monday. The reason why I went on a Wednesday is because I thought it would be quiet.

As it was I cut across the grass at one point after spending 90 minutes trying to get around the safari ride. I could have been stuck there for another 90 minutes.

First dry sunny day we've had since Wednesday, had a nice few hours in Friston Forest, Cuckmere Valley and the beach below the cliffs.
Here's a few shots.

SB, I always use a polariser filter on landscape shots, it's the only filter which cannot be replicated in software, and, unfortunately cannot be used on a compact camera, If you intend to buy one always get a cicular one as opposed to linear, which won't work with auto lenses.
Here's another snap.
