Hear the Lib Dems are in town and Broad Street is closed.Glad I am not going into the city much now...don't think I could cope. Can't credit the fact I used to drive all round the city centre on a regular basis.

Talking about the Lib Dem's, I see Clegg thinks the rioters should be locked up as a last resort. I wonder if he would say that had his business been trashed and his family terrorised? I wonder why the alliance have gone from "lock em up and throw away the key" to "only as a last resort". Perhaps they have realised how expensive the harsher alternative would be.

When we had cable piped into our house back in the days of Birmingham Cable (before Telewest & Virgin) I had the analogue & sky aerials removed. Now because we live in a bad reception area and we only had cable fitted for the ground floor televisions although the televisions upstairs are capable of receiving digital TV they don't. It now seems that I have got to get an outdoor aerial fitted again. I have tried these indoor aerials with a booster that are supposed to be capable of receiving digital signals but they don't work either. To be quite honest if it were just for my benefit I wouldn't bother but it's the wife and the kiddies when they stop over.
