It's been really hot all day today, at least for heavy work indoors it has. I'll have to have extra breakfast in the morning to make up for the weight loss. I'm wasting away.
Juust come back from a lovely evening at the Moor Hall Hotel in sutton. Our friends are staying there while they have some house repairs done.We had a meal on the terrace, lovely food and very good staff. Just the right weather for a meal outdoors, overlooking the Gardens and the Golf Course.
Hope to go back for another meal sometime,my friend tells me they do a great Afternoon Tea.
Evening all. Help please. I have recently acquired a very smart black cane, with a silver Knob. The Hallmark is WM Two Photo's attached. Can anyone help with the Watermark please.

Good evening all, SB, looking at Denises link it becomes obvious that the shape of the cartouche, call it what you will, is of great importance. Can you get a clearer shot of it?
The shape of the dent that the letters are stamped into is what makes the difference between one WM and another WM. For instance if the shape was more or less a square with wobbly side then the maker would most probably be William Manton. Yours looks like a double shield or perhaps a heart shape, it's difficult to tell from the photo.
