This beggars belief, I have just tracked the book on RM's website and got the message,"we have received your item and expect to deliver it
BEFORE THE GUARANTEED TIME, on the 03/05/11".
An absolute disgrace to what was once the best postal service in the world, mind you with the people who are working there now what can you expect.
At least Tescos is open.

John

It sounds to me as if RM have only just received it, so perhaps Amazon is to blame or rather the book supplier because unless it is one of Amazons books then its the supplier who ships it. Though normal postage times are normally quoted as 3 to 12 days. I always find that I get mine within 5 days at the most. I have just ordered one at a cost of 45p plus postage that everywhere else was quoting £12.50 plus postage. Cant be bad even if it is used.

What an amazing event. She looks fab and I for one am enjoying it.

If we had a president it would still cost us so no problem with that.

This Fabulous event has generated more for the economy than it has cost to stage.
I have no time for Royal knocking especially today.

I'm not barmy about the Royalty thing but I do know it all goes a lot deeper than profit and loss sheets.
The raising of peoples spirits, giving so many people a focal point in their possibly otherwise boring drab lives, keeping alive all this pomp and circumstance which makes Britain so different from the rest of the world, showing the rest of the world who we are, all these, and more, are priceless.

I think you are right.Life can be mundane and we all look forward to a family wedding, christening whatever. It gives life highlights.

We can not tell people what to think though, just hope they may agree with us LOL

I will knock Royalty any week that has a Sunday in it, because I don't believe for one that they generate a financial excess anywhere near what they cost us. Are you saying without the royal family and all the hangers on. That tourists would no longer come to this country. I'm willing to bet that more visitors to this great country of ours go nowhere near The Mall than those that do.

Just look at the great waste of time Charles who wants the monarchy to return to being an autocracy with him in charge of course. The thing is I think we would be hard put to find an Oliver Cromwell in this day and age. I might be getting on a bit, but I wouldn't hesitate to volunteer.
