morning astwood...ive just come in from cutting the grass in case its starts raining again...we had brilliant sunshine for about half and hour but its gone in now to be replaced by dark clouds...

It's nearly time for my eyes to be tested again, though sayin I've got to go for a retinopathy screening on the 18th i might get it done then.

Evening all, we are watching the Queens concert at the moment. Had a good day today went into town for the lord Mayors Show. The show on stage in Chamberlain Square was very good, one act was The Rat Pack a Frank Sinatra, Sammy Davis and Dean Martin tribute act who were really very good. Also on stage was a really good old fashioned Rock and Roll band complete with double Bass, loads of people were dancing around and Jiving Phil would have loved it.
Mid afternoon we had Tea in the Lords Mayors Parlour, my wife enjoyed that, I had been there years before to lunch after a Red Cross AGM. She met the new Lord Mayor, I was being served to the tea at the time.
During the afternoon we decided it was time for lunch so we took a walk down to a beautiful pub I had never been in before (it's been recently restored) The Old Contemptibles. nice place the food and the service was very good. I was absolutely knocked out by the tiling in the toilets, so much so I had to take a picture. (sorry girls nobody was using them at time).
