I keep saying this, but there is something wrong you people, why would anybody want to get up before 8.a.m. I understand because of commitments most of us have to, but given the choice as I am now. Then I would much rather stay in bed, especially now the winter is drawing in.

Phil

Phil, different people lead different lives and keep different hours. I have always been an early morning person and I wouldn't have it any other way. It's the best part of the day. No there is Nothing wrong with Us people. SB

John going back to your comment about different spellings of the same word. Licenced- Licensed etc.
Some of it goes back to lack of education. Just not too many generations ago the great majority of people couldn't read or write.
So if someone wanted a letter written, they had to go and see the village scribe, probably a priest, etc.
Although this priest could read and write, he may not exactly have been a scholar. That's how the same name got to be spelled in different ways because you could dictate your letter to him but not tell him how to spell it.
Some words in different countries also add to this mess. Also the people who taught our wonderful language may not have been so good at spelling, some brilliant people have been awful at spelling. SB
