I don't know whether I entirely agree with Jim, but i do think that a lot of people (not you I'm sure) who use them are inconsiderate, and don't seem to consider the possibility of blinding other pavement users. They walk with them as if they were an elevated battering ram with spikes on the edges to maim and injure me. I wouldn't want to do that, so always refuse when one is offered to me.

We had two free ones from Mand S a few years back after buying a load of mens clothes..they have been brilliant ,when they blow out they can quickly be pulled back in and no damage done..so far.
Yes I do think people should take exra care with them..............a market trader told me off a few weeks ago as I was dripping onto his stock. As I was his only customer in the rain thought how ungrateful he was LOL
No I apolagised really LOL
Hello Astoness, I am sorry to hear about your brolly but I must admit to having a little chuckle to myself about it. It is a classic comedy moment, I just hope you are seeing the funny side of it yourself.
If you turn it into the wind the other way would it put itself right?

very good LOL
well Jim walked the dogs and they all got very wet,he reckons blokes don't use an umbrella.
I walked into town and my brolly saved the day...............
Phil I have thought of sanding but do you think the dog's claws will wreck it ??
Denise
You have two choices, keep the dogs out of the room or get the dogs some slippers. If the dogs claws are kept short and you use a hard varnish it shouldn't be too much of a problem.
