Morning all...feeling frail this morning due to drinking in the pub and getting carried away a bit..with an old Moseley friend and old habits die hard LOL

The pub was packed as they were drawing the ticket for £1900 prize.

You win the ticket number then have three keys have to open the right one to win,It had to be won last night so that was why pub was packed.the guy next to me won first draw...oh no,wrong key.he was gutted as I would have been...next ticket won.

Poor guy had had the same happen when one game stood at £300 .

I flutered a pound but some people had several pounds worth.........

Anyway today I have decided the old living room carpet has to be pulle up to expose the floor boards...if they are any good I will do them up,if not new floor covering..Jim is looking pale at the prospect of him having to do all this but sur he will cope LOL

As far as pulling up the carpet goes. Watch what you are doing. In very old houses of the type you live in, I have seen cases where people have done similar and exposed a myriad of problems.

I just enjoy the atmosphere of a good pub. The community, the chat, the banter, it's a whole community centre/ club/ meeting place/ restraurant.
Lyn the Wellington I use in Brum is the one in Bennetts Hill. Useful because as they don't sell food, you can take your own in. They even supply plates, cutlery, sauces etc. With a range of over 20 beers it's worth a try. SB
