RE: GOOD MORNING BIRMINGHAM.

So, my day has gone from bad to worse. My computer D: drive, a 1.5Tb drive that I use to store everything, has decided to fail. Unfortunately there was no useful warning, a large media directory wouldn't open and following a reboot the drive is now inaccessible and demanding a format. Fortunately there is very little on there, if anything, that isn't duplicated ot triplicated elsewhere. It's still a painfull experience though.

I have also been having trouble recently with old CD Roms, both home made and commercial, failing to give up their contents due to age. Around 12 years old at most.

This should be a reminder to everyone to backup all your files on a regular basis. Do it now.

Volty

Since my last bad experience of just over a year ago when I thought I had lost 50% of my photo collection, but managed to get them rescued. I know have 2 external drives which I back up to regularly and I also have a couple of memory sticks that I back my photos to as an extra precaution. So I am triple backed up.

I also run two External Hard drives, I have around 11,000 Photo's and over 10,000 music tracks so they wouldn't fit on the computers anyway. I want now another hard drive, 1TB should do it then I can do a bit of tidying up and checking for duplicate files.

Morning Lyn, same here, dull, cloudy and windy.
Half bedroom done, looking around for new stuff now, decided on an art deco theme which is my favourite period.
What you up to today ?

Morning all,an Art Deco theme sounds good John.

I am going to put the heating on this morning as I have decided it is cold. The wind is strong too,the festival is on in Lichfield on Saturday so hope the sun shines then.

Yes its dull and overcast here as well, but I don't think its cold. Well not yet at least, but then I haven't been out yet.

That's good Froth, if you had been on much longer your phone would probably have blown up.[Big Laugh]
