Looks interesting John, but I think I'll wait and take a look at in the library before I buy. As a lot of these maps books like pictorial books are just a rehash of old books with one or two new items added for interest.

Phil, agree, but I 'VE JUST READ A REVIEW WHICH SAYS ILLUSTRATED IN COLOUR WITH 30 PAGES OF TEXT AND 60 PAGES OF MAPS, ( didn't notice caps on). Doesn't sound like good value to me 90 pages for £24 with postage, there's an original one on e-bay for £7.50.

It's not the price that bothers me so much (although I don't like being robbed), but it more the fact that a lot of these publishers seem to being the same thing these days and milking what they can from a few maps or photos by publishing them in as many books as possible. I ended up buying a lot more books than I needed to for just a couple of photos until I caught on. So I now wait until the library gets a copy then I nick down there for a look.
If the book is completely new then I will buy a copy, otherwise I will just forget about it.
