Morning John
I read a good book occasionally (fiction) I don't class acquiring knowledge from history books as reading. I will do anything that keeps me from watching that dreaded goggle box. I generally watch it for about an hour in bed at night and then it will only be something of interest I have recorded. I do watch a lot of films and Sci Fi that my son downloads onto an external drive for me and he comes and changes it every so often. I generally watch them in split screen while I am on the forum.

Well I'm waiting here to start work for 1.00. then I don't finish till 9.30 in the evening.
I know I'm wishing my life away but roll on 3 years so I can retire.
Denise.
Don't sell your van. I sold mine about 12 years ago and still miss it. We brought a tent last year, not as good as a caravan but still great

Frothy
In four years time you will be wishing you were back at work, after the novelty wears off and you have done everything you want to do it gets very boring. Perhaps I'm just cynical because I had to pack in my all my favourite pastimes at the same time.

I agree it's no fun being retired after the initial novelty wears off.
That's why I still do jobs, I would go round the twist otherwise, there's only so much dossing you can do.

You know Phil everyone say this to me but it still don't stop me wishing for retirement.
I'm off to work. Have a good day.

I'm so bored I'm off down the pub.
You see if I could do just that I wouldn't be bored either.

When I was at work I was organised, but now I am anything but, I think I will do something one day then I think oh well I'll do it tomorrow, you know what they say tomorrow never comes. I always seem to be busy doing nothing!!

I have a vision here of a load of little purple blackberries hidden behind their stockade of wagons, with the indians (sorry - native americans) circling them on their horses, firing arrows at the blackberries and piercing some of the little fruitlets with the arrows to give drops of purpley juice.

Good Afternoon,
Quite bright in Yardley but I can see black storm clouds in the North. Enjoy.
