As phil says, if you have edited it in anything other than animated GIF software then it won't be animated anymore.
Animated GIFs are made up from a number of separate images, all slightly different, played in series so as to give the impression of movement.
If you edit an animated GIF with ordinary image software then only the first image will be edited. Only the first image will display because the software has saved it as a normal GIF.

thanks volty....must admit i do like to flash at christmas time...oh im flashing ok on another site with the same betty its just here i am having problems with...

It seems to be glittery as opposed to flashing. It looks alright on my machine but seems to be flashing like mad when it is on the forum.
How does it look to everyone else?

phil its happening on this thread as well...theres a massive gap then a box at the bottom of the page to post our message...same thing when i click on new pm...cant understand why it only seems to be me thats getting this...

Yes I see a gap of about the same depth as the text box, but I should,'t think it is anything to worry about. To tell the truth I never even noticed it until you mentioned it. It will probably return to normal sooner or later.
