hey phil, theres a lot to be said for cooking and eating outside, when I was in the scouts many moons ago - I used to go camping almost every weekend, if we had long weekends we trot over to guernsey on the mail ship, or st marlo in France, this was before package holiday were fashionable, guess that's why I love to travel - cooking on the camp fire as a lad with chums around or now as an old fella having a camp fire and barbecue on a secluded beach as the sun goes down, just the best, your missing out on a great slice of life - like eating freshly caught fish in the Mekong Delta cooked in a old prumus stove, or Eating in the jungle at Nam Tok after transiting Hellfire pass. there a truly some awesome places to eat outside and a rich tapestry of food to try - mind you Ive had some really bad events, not the food tasted great - just finding out what is was after id eaten it LOL

I understand about cooking outside whilst camping and I would suppose that a barbecue would be the best tool for the job. I often dine al fresco in the summer, but the food is cooked (if indeed it is cooked) in the kitchen on the appliances that my wife spent a years turnover on a few years back.

I know there has been a cleanup, but I'm not sure i'd trust cooking anything that had been freshly caught in the river Rea
