lol volty yes a bit like a goldfish bowl...nice though that you kept all your fishing tackle..i used to fish right up the north of scotland when i spent a couple of years there..little fishing village called helmsdale..only did salmon and trout fishing..it was free for residents on the first mile of the river brora...

hi all..im shattered...just finished tidying up and putting 2 rooms back in order...all ok and on schedule with the rewiring...2 good guys..know what they are doing and work well together...plumber coming out at 8 in the morning to fix the leek under the sink..dont rain but it pours..lol hope you all had a good day...too hot and sticky for me though....fans at full belt again...

The lifeboats are the only charity we allow in the pub on a permanent basis, we average £200 per month from the box on the bar.
They have a shop here in Brighton marina, and a couple of years ago I and 12 other pub regulars had a fantastic day out on one of their new boats and we did a mock rescue, I had the pleasure of steering the boat all the way from Beachy Head back to Brighton.

Morning John, that sounds great. Full marks on your charity choice and it's nice to see more being done inland these days. They always do well at the Kings heath show and The Sheldon country fair they sometimes bring an inflatable boat to the latter.

As promised photos of my day out on the Newhaven lifeboat.
Some of these pictures were taken through glass covered in seaspray, as we were not allowed on deck during certain parts of the operation, hence the poor quality.

great pics john and thats a brill amount to collect each month for the charity fund....had the chance to go out on a life boat when i lived in scotland....amazing....

chaos here...cant get in the kitchen today...kettle..milk..coffee..sugar and milk tucked up a little corner in the living room and i am in the garden with me lap top....all good fun...
