If you was on here at 1.15 the previous evening and back on again today at 5.22 and you say you was up at 4.30. Then 195 minutes is not enough sleep for anyone. Lyn I realise you may have a lot on your mind, but you need to get your sleep and look after yourself as well.

bless you phil...i would dearly love to sleep from say 11 at night till 6 in the morning but it just doesnt always happen...ive just bought a herbal remedy to help me unwind at night and maybe sleep better as i refuse to have to rely on prescribed medication unless really needed...of course i could always ask john for a nip or two of his only to be used on special occasions whisky....

I realise you were only joking, but a tot before you retire for the evening can help you to sleep. I never found any trouble sleeping after a few. I still don't find a problem nodding off, but I think that is because its still in my system.

Astoness, have you tried dark chocolate for a good nights sleep? The really dark stuff with 80% or so cocoa content is supposed to help.
You eat it, of course, just before bedtime. Then there's always Ovaltine and the like.

Why all the fuss about sleeping during certain hours, some people me included are called short sleepers. I only ever get around six hours, but it's good quality sleep. I also find that reading before sleep is a mistake because it can get to be a habit and some people can't sleep unless they read for a while. SB

I have only ever had about 4 hours sleep a night, and that's all my life, never effected me (I don't think) never seems to bother me, I used to
get in my car and drive around, sometimes over a 100 miles and come back and get back into bed and no-one was any the wiser.
Best of luck to you John, you get more hours in your day than most, who can blame you.

Although I often went days on end without sleep when I was younger, now the years are mounting up I need my sleep. When younger I often used to hallucinate through lack of sleep and that was without the use of any stimulant or alcohol.

The best way to get sleep is to put something on that you really want to watch. If there is just rubbish on you will see it to the end, and the following programme.
