You weren't on duty when I came past your stand today.

Phil

Hi Phil, I am sorry I missed you yesterday. I was there from 9am until 5.15pm, I only left our stall twice for 15 mins each time, because we were so busy. Our guess how many sweeties in the jar competition attracted 247 hits alone and we gave away around 400 balloons. We also had a great many enquiries to deal with. I just managed to find time for an emergency Jacket Spud. I never got to see the rest of the show.
So hopefully next time I will get to meet you. SB

SB

To be quite honest, we only popped down while the roast was cooking. So we didn't have much time to hang about. Another thing was never having been before I didn't realise it was so big.

Most functions of that kind you have seen it all in half an hour, so we came with that frame of mind. We were surprised and to be honest my wife is not the best on her feet. So we missed quite a part of it out and didn't walk around the fair part at all.

I will be prepared next year and will leave the afternoon free, I think you must have seen me coming and hid!

Sorry we didn't get to meet but I'll catch you one of these days, perhaps in town.

Last chance for anyone to grab a handful of button lapel badges as I will be sending them out to those that have requested them tomorrow. If you haven't read about them look in the announcement thread on our header page.

I've just been to the Xobor league table and visited the site at the bottom. Those poor guys are talking to themselves.

What's wrong with that?

It's not likely to be the only reason Phil. Anyway many small women are mentally bigger than most men.

So where is everyone?

Morning everybody.............hope you are all ok.

Went for the meal last night........good company and boring food.Oh and service charge...........what a cheek.............should be up to me if I tip for the slow service or not.

Denise

I so much agree with you, I think this is why most of these places have service charges its because without them they know there would be no tips. This being so most restaurants would get no staff because they pay so poor wages.

I'm sorry but this is why I have a thing about these chain owned restaurants, its because the owners are not on site and good management for anything is hard to get. The simple fact is they don't care enough.

Small family owned and run eateries are always best, they may be more expensive. At least you get what you pay for though.
