Just had a phone call of my grand daughter (17) to say she's passed her driving test at 10 this morning, well done Bethany.

Is granddad contributing toward a new car? My granddaughters test is in two weeks time. She wants to know how much I am giving her toward a car if she passes her test. Failing to remember that it is granddad and grandma who's has forked out the majority toward her driving lessons.

Mind you I will be glad when she passes and gets her own car, at least that will be one less that thinks I am their private taxi service.

Phil, she bought a car 18 months ago with her part-time earnings from Morrisons in Tewkesbury, as well as doing a Pershore College Art course.

Do you think you can get her to teach some of my grandchildren about independence. Mind you she would have to re-educate their grandmother as well.

I am actually at a Church service tomorrow afternoon. Our local Church, St. Thomas's in Garretts Green is Celebrating it's 50th Anniversary. The Bishop of Brum will be there and The Lord and lady Mayoress. We are invited because of our community connections, Jo is on the Church Sheldon project committee too. Bet you wish you hadn't asked.
