Thank You Signman,
That's marvelous,
I can see where I was going wrong, I didn't create a new layer(s). I'll have another shot at it in the morning.
Cheers
VM

Morning SB, I don't know about cleaning Len's, he can clean his own, but the best way to clean lenses is with a proper cleaner and cloth.
VM uses the same method as myself, which is the easiest and cheapest, a well worn newly washed handkerchief, breathe on the lens and carefully wipe it over in a circular motion.
DO NOT USE TISSUES OF ANY TYPE, they contain minute slivers of wood which will scratch the lens.
An easy way to tell if the lens is dirty, breathe on it and see how long it takes to clear, if more than a couple of seconds it is dirty and needs cleaning, by the above method, depending how dirty, you may need to do it a couple of times.
Sorry John I meant to type A Lens. But I changed my mind and not the spelin

Not much I'm afraid, unless the bristles are kept clean by washing frequently they tend to scratch just like tissues
John
Thank you so much. I have just uploaded the Avatar you did for me, it was easier than I thought and it looks great.
Thats the only photo I have of me as a child aged about 10. We could never afford the school photographs and I was very glad to be able to obtain a copy of this school photo from a posting by Dave on the the BHF site.
I must admit I was a bit shocked when I finally realised that the skinny kid on the end of the line in the school photo was actually me.
Thanks again for all your help John

Alice I used to have a crush on one of the girls in that photograph,(it wasn't you) and used to think she was the bees knees, looking at it now
I think to myself why!
This is my dream camera, but at £5,000 ( body only) I will never own one, but if someone wants to buy me a Christmas present I won't say no, ha ha.
I might add, this is the only camera Getty Images will accept photos from.
I've got no chance then.

You surprise me, you make two very ungentlemanly statements in that post. Even if they are true they could have been phrased better. It's a good job the two ladies concerned are a little more mature now or they could have been scarred for life.

Phil, you know me, no offence intended, but tell it like it is, never been known for diplomacy.
I know John, I think all of us of our generation are the same. Between you me and the gatepost I was only being diplomatic, after all young ladies can be so fragile.
