Our Strawberries are very late this year. The squirells are enjoying some very small green things whereas this time last year they had been tucking into fully grown fruit for about a fortnight. Assisted by the Blackbirds of course.

That reminds me I should cover them up,only put a couple of plants in to show small Grandson where they come from. Son in Law was amazed to see a strawberry plant ??He has been to UNI too

I'm not terribly keen on Strawberry's but I still have to go picking every year. I just sit in the car or on the grass and read the paper. Well as for as long as I can get away with it. Phil

I only eat English strawberries.The taste is far superior to others in my opinion. I try to eat seasonal veg and that way you can buy British produce .Less air miles and superior flavour.
