I heard that he was the one who acts as the ghost, and he doesn't need any make up.

Yes that is interesting.
In the old days it was quite common to have your home blessed and I have not heard of anyone doing that for a long time.
I was just taking a stroll through some of the ghost related posts and spotted the one above......
We regularly come across people who say they've had their house blessed because of a haunting - though most erroneously refer to it as 'exorcism' - but I don't think I've ever met one person who think that this has done them any good. In a lot of cases, the people concerned will tell you that things appear to have instantly got worse after a visit from a religious type!! Laugh!!!
A vicar was allegedly involved in the (supposedly) successful clearing of a haunted shop that we were briefly called into a few years back, but, as the case was almost certainly a fake, I can't see that spiritual intervention would have carried all much weight, to be honest!! Laugh, laugh!!!

In almost every building or construction site there is a certain amount of silicone in the wattle and daub, the bricks and mortar plaster ect, it can be found almost anywhere. Now, going back a bit in the sound and vision industry they used silcone tape to record voices and pictures ect,. The tape runs between the magnetic heads and gives up its information on the screen.
There is supposedly a little evidence at least to support such a theory, though I'm not personally convinced. On a couple of occasions, I have heard of researchers running electrical currents through the walls of a building and - allegedly - finding that they've somehow 'released' a trapped recording. One was a pub in Wales, I think, and the other was a town hall (or government related building) in Europe somewhere.
Something I put to someone recently (who was raving about spirits, communing with ghosts and the like) was the simple fact that ghost stories have basically changed with time / culture / society....... which doesn't really indicate that they are a constant experience. The easiest way of expressing this is the fact that - in Elizabethan times, for example - people only ever saw Elizabethan ghosts....... They never saw Roman Soldiers or ghostly Vikings, or anything like that, just apparitions / figures from their own time period!! The simplest solution for this is the notion that Elizabethan people wouldn't have either had much of a concept of Romans (for example), or, if they did, they wouldn't have known what a Roman looked like and so forth. It was only with the introduction of general education (centuries later) that people had the knowledge on which to base their historical apparitions.....
All the best,
Nick

I'm pretty sure all visible ghosts are Elizabethan and always carry their head under their arm.
I've seen 'em on telly so I know it's true.

When I was a young girl it was common to have your house blessed if you had just moved in,I never heard of anyone doing it because they had a ghost
Indeed I had my own home blessed when I was a lot younger.
As I understand it, and I am no expert. Do you not have to believe in Ghosts to believe in God. holy spirit etc.

I think if you believe in the one, then it is easier to believe in the other. I can't see how you can believe in one type of non corporeal being without believing in the other.

Could it be that there is more evidence for one than the other?
You can take that however it suits.
