Our Politicians.

#1 by Sheldonboy , Mon Aug 15, 2011 9:31 pm

My God, I can honestly say that in thirty six years as a Guillotine operator I have never before wished so much that my machine was for Beheading people.
I have just been Boiling over once again watching Panorama, all about the Riots and the "Disorder".
Even now our great leaders are still insisting that our Police numbers will be cut. Our Great masters still say that they need to trim billions off our public spending.
WHAT THEY NEED IS TO SAVE TENS OF BILLIONS OF POUNDS.
THIS IS AT A TIME WHEN THEY ARE THROWING HUNDREDS AND THOUSANDS OF BILLIONS AT POLICING OTHER COUNTRIES.
Iraq has been kicking off again today, that's a country that we well sorted out. That's in a bigger mess than before we went in.
etc etc.
Our politicians OF ALL PARTIES in my opinion are most corrupt and dangerous bunch of Criminals that this country has ever seen.
THROW BILLIONS OVERSEAS........................................................NOT IN MY NAME.. Adolf .

I started out with nothing and Iv'e still got most of it left

Capitalism works, that's how we have got through the last 100 years. it's the selfish greed of certain people that mess it up.

I agree S.B. Using those billions, Policing other countries !!!! and making Cuts on our own Police Force !!!! Totally Unbeleivable - So, and what on earth do they expect when they have young folk, like that, running all over the place and the police have to work by the rules and regulations and are not supposed to 'hammer them to pieces' - to be polite!
If they are not going to provide for our young folk at an early age then what do these politicans expect.!

I have no idea what you lot are complaining about.
The sun is shining, the grass is greener than usual, this G&T is particularly nice, and so cheap at only £2.50 a litre, the birds are singing, the traffic noise is unusally absent, there hasn't been any shouting in the street this afternoon and I have just had a massive tax rebate backdated over the past 35 years. I didn't have to lock my car or lock the doors to house before I went for a kip in the back garden. Good job we won that war all those years ago or we would be over run by foreigners, ruled by europe and live a horrible place with crime and inflation spoiling everything.
I think I might take a walk to the pub and have a drink with my mates this evening. It's so good to know the police have my well being at heart and the streets are so safe now.
Now? That's odd, when is now? What's that noise? It's getting louder and louder, hey! what! ...... Bloody hell they've gone and woke me up, I was having such a nice dream.

sorry sb, but have to disagree with you, capitalism is not working and can not provide a fair system for all, the sheer nature of it means some are better off than others.

we need to get our young people into work, every job should be important and treated as such, they then are paying their n i contributions which in turn goes to paying for the pensions of today (who paid theirs before). no one should be made to work until they are 70, that is going back in time.

it does not matter which politcal party you have at the moment they all seem to be out for themselves.

as for the Red Flag Phil and the International, i dont think the labour party should be adopting it as their own at the moment.

oh dear, my politcal rant for today.

perhaps its right women should be in the kitchen, doing what i dont know, cus i m no good at cooking.

Molly

If you have read any of my previous posts you will know that I am a life long labour voter who lived with a Tory family most of my young life. So my political beliefs are my own and not family inherited.

I say a labour voter all my life, that was until Nu Labour reared its ugly head. I didn't vote for them to get in and I haven't voted in any sort of Election since and will not until they return to old Labour style politics.

Concerning the Red Flag it probably harks back to when I was a member of the peace movement in my youth and was just old enough to have joined the last couple of marches from London to Aldermaston with Micky Foot. This was before they descended into a shambles because the movement was infiltrated by those who just wanted a punch up with the police. I thought I'm in a peace movement that just wants violence so I was out of there, It was around that time that I joined the Young Communist Party, but I will say that my courtship with communism was very short. In other words the girl I fancied didn't turn up at the annual camp.

Hi Phil

you and me both, i was an arden socialist, member of cnd and women for peace (greenham common etc.) but new labour, well you know the score there. my family background, my great grand dad wesley hooley born in 1878 was a staunch socialist and was back listed at a couple of firms in the north wales/cheshire areas. he taught my grand mother to sing the red flag when she was 5. she went on to marry a welsh miner and if you ever get chance to read num web site, it brings tears to your eyes. as for present day politics i too have not voted labour for a long time, dare i say i live in redditch and we all know about our last mp and her expense scandall. she still bleats about how the public did not understand and let her down, it may nothave been illegal but it sure as hell was immorale and my argument is why did the local party not de-select her. unfortunately, it seems it s all about wining and geting the other parties ousted and not doing anything for the people on the ground. this last election, the liberals took a hammering as would be expected and labour in my area got in, the chap has not done anything yet but has had his photo int he press a couple of times. as from september we have no bus service after 7.oo in the evening, so if you dont have a car, you cant visit anyone in hospital, go to the cinema, go swimming, visit friends, etc. etc. and i dont see our labour people shouting about it.

i could go on all day but unless i can come up with an alternative its just a case of get on with it.

my daughter went to university and has a good job working and living in london, she does not forget her roots and does vote labour, but the two islington m.p.s are worth voting for.

right must get ready and go swimming with my 15mnt old grandson.

None of them are worth voting for now............I could never vote Tory but I think the Labour party that I loved has gone for good.
