It's interesting that Harborne police are involved but there is no mention of Sheldon, Stechford or Acocks Green police, who are all nearer.
It must be because the TOA are in Harborne. The taxi seems to have come from Dudley.

Stechford, Acocks Green and Sheldon Police all operate out of Stechford it's Birmingham East Headquarters. One of the four Birmingham Area's all governed by it's own Chief Superintendent. This would depend who the crime was reported to. Maybe The Ambulance Service reported it to the Central Office.

There was no ambulance, the taxi took them to hospital. Surely they, the hospital or the old couple, reported this to the police?

I would think the Taxi driver would have to report it, for one thing it would be an expensive insurance claim.

personally i dont they do tick...they are brain dead...you could see how the taxi driver was shocked so heaven knows how the eldery couple felt...shock would have kicked in the next day i would think

If these mindless thugs are brought before the courts ,they should be tried for attempted murder ,anyone one of the people in the taxi could have been killed.

The courts will settle for vandalism, if they are caught there needs to be a civil action.
Or perhaps some very uncivil action by the victims families.

The Law isn't strong enough these days, all the Government cares about is lenient sentences to keep the cost of Jails down.
