Denise

I found out that my penchant of wearing all leather shoes soles and uppers does not mix very well with snowy pavements. I found that to my cost over the snowy Christmas period. So I looked out my old work boots (luckily the wife hadn't thrown them out). So now when I take Zane for a walk (just got back) I am not slipping and sliding all over the place. What you need to do is take a pair of boots down to the cobblers and have some steel studs fitted. Or if you have got an old last do it yourself.

Sounds like you look like a real punk rocker Phil. Have you got some zips to sew onto your trousers to get the full effect ?

Phil I do wear old walking boots but I like your idea of the studs and I will do just that.

If you have some leather sole boots I would think it would be no problem, and as I say if you could get hold of an old cobblers last you or hubby could do it no problem. Though I would advise a new pair of insoles for the boots after you are finished.

I'm here, you can buy grips to put on the soles of your shoes, but at £14.99 per pair, is it worth it, just stay of the strong stuff and learn to skate.

Morning all, very sunny and mild here today after a day of rain.
Had a belated Christmas present yesterday and with it was a bar of marmite chocolate, milk, quite nice ,could hardly taste the marmite.

Morning All,

I just got back from my Saturday morning duty, taking the wife shopping. Something I truly hate, I just can't stand supermarkets they are so poorly organised. I would love to be given one week to get some of them in to shape.
