Good morning John and everyone, early start today I'll be in my cafe in a few minutes.

Already had my first walk Graham,porridge,blueberries and bananas now.

Sounds like a nice breakfast mate, I've just had a healthy Bacon and Tomato sarnie.

Another fine start to the day so far.

lovely pictures, why does it always look so nice at the sea side.

never went to mothers in erdington, refresh my memory which band was steve gibbons in, my mind is getting old (too much of the grand kids and having to sing and do the actions of chuggington) lol. where was the ringway club phil.

i used to frequent some seedy clubs in the late sixties. does anyone remember the towrope cafe/nightspot in brum. i used to share a bedsite in edgbaston and they all used to go there at night. i think i was the only one working so everyone else could have a lie in in the morning. i sooned moved out as it was a real sixties scene and i got my own flat at kings norton.

The Tow Rope and the Rendezvous were two my hang out in the 60's I always called into one or the other after being thrown out of one of the night clubs at the end of the night. The Ringway was on Bromsgrove Street near the corner of Lower Essex Street it was also knows as the Pink Elephant just prior to when I used it.

Phil some guys I knew years ago, were out partying in the Rum Runner one night, one of them went missing and he was Murdered in The Tow Rope.

not sure if i remember the pink elephant or the ringway.

where is the rendeavous, my two sisters used to hang out at a rendeavous in shirley. i stayed in the henley in arden, stratford upon avon, moreton in marsh area until about 1965 then i went into the city itself.

The Rendezvous was on Broad Street on the same side of the street as The Rum Runner just after Bridge street and the old Registry Office.
