quite cold and frosty out, think we going to have some wintry weather.
taken most of the christmas decorations down now, used to keep them up for the twelve days.

Lyn in the late sixties I worked in Heathmill Lane Deritend. So I was frequently around the area of the Old Crown. On the front of the crown was a workshop, it was at the far right hand end ( now part of the pub.) As far as I know all that shop did was refurbish those cast iron tables. Many times I have seen tatty ones going in and new ones coming out. all had new tops and were painted up. You can imagine how many pubs had them, it must have been a major job. I worked there for a couple of years and it was still going when I left in 1968 I'm sure.
