Phil, if you look at post 18300, it tells you on the wall, it's a beautiful building, another art deco icon.

We just got back from the Plume of Feathers at Shirley, we decided to take advantage of their offer of £3.50 for a carvery as long as you buy a drink. I must say that I like the set up in the Plume of Feathers as it is now, you pay for everything at the bar and collect it yourself. Much better than waiting for ages for overworked staff, if you want you can be in and out in less than half hour.

Evening phil yes we like the plume we usually pop in when we are in shirley, never had to wait long, the pay at the bar idea has been going for some few years now.

SB

To be quite honest I didn't think it was that long since I was last in there and had waitress service, but honestly I think this idea is much better. Most times you go for a meal in a pub you spend more time waiting to be served than you do eating.

I went to chesterfield today with a couple of friends. The sun shone and we really enjoyed the large flea market they hold every Thursday.

We went to a pub, sadly don't know its name for lunch.£6.95 for a huge plate of well cooked food.Worth very penny.

Was on the road at seven am so tired now but good to have a nice day out.

Good morning all,

Every morning, leave your worries outside your gate, coz that's where they pick up the garbage! Have a worry free day!

Walking in the rain with the dogs and a sewer burst in the park.Had to walk all the way round to gt out. This is the second time it has gone within a couple
of weeks. The festival is on at the moment so what a mess.

This time last year it was hot.....such a lot of summer events have been wrecked.
