We haven't been shopping yet, as we have guests, two great grandchildren one under one year of age and the other under three years of age. One grandson of 12 years of age, one granddaughter of 15 and one granddaughter of 20. They are all driving the wife potty, while I have locked myself in the office. With luck they will all be gone by 3 0 clock and then we can go shopping. Before that though I'm just off to take the dog out for a walk, if I can get out on my own that is.

We were in town today, now I know the weather was rubbish, I know it's been rubbish all the week. But looking at the faces of most people from young to old I can't remember a time when so many faces looked so bloody miserable. Young girls these day (when they they're not spitting on the floor) look as though they have been stung in the face by a bunch of Wasps. Where have the smiles gone. Most people these days can't walk ten yards without issuing a torrent of foul language followed by ennit after every sentence. I am beginning to believe that when some kids leave school they have to hand their brain back. Their manners too only come out on special occassions.

It's a sad thing to say but I think that good well behaved young people stand out these days. At one time the bad ones used to stand out, but now they seem to be the norm.
