Good morning all,

Just letting you know I am still in the land of the living, and I've been allowed out of bed for a couple of hours, as long as I behave myself. Thank you all for your well wishes and enquiries. Hopefully I will be as good as new within a couple of days.

Phil,
Glad to hear that you are feeling better and that you have a good lady to tell you to behave and look after yourself.
With my very Best Wishes,
Lynn.

Evening all, well I have had a good day, got a fair bit done. We found some young Tench in our ponds, I just hope they manage to get bigger before the other fish eat them.

Do Tench taste nice SB, or are they some of those fish that are like foxes with fins, just bred to be caught and not good for anything else?

Good morning John and everyone.

Lyn we have spotted two young Tench together so far, but there is a lot of vegetation so there may be more. Hopefully at least one will survive, they are only just over an inch long.

Mike according to google Tench are very edible with a fine flavour. But don't wait for ours. Our oldest is about seven and is only about nine inches long.
