I've just been out to walk the dog, it reminded me of the time I was with Scott when we trekked to the south pole. Zane looked at me a bit strangely perhaps he had heard we ate the dogs on that trek.

I didn't know that there used to be a pub called the south pole?

Its in county Kerry
See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Annascaul
Incidently SB, Jimmy Savile used to wear a peculiar russian-type hat with furry earpieces, so you had better be careful

hi everyone, yes i m in my element, been for a nice walk around the arrow valley lake and then up to morrisons to do a bit of shopping. the ice treads, i bought my first pair from the pdsa shop, the second pair i bought from a shop in worcester called yeomans. i think most of the outdoor walking shops have them, they are on the internet as well. the ones i v got are only about £7, very useful. i noticed yesterday in a shop called b and m they were selling ice treads.

bought my two grandchildren snow boots, the little ones are a size 5 they look so cute but they will keep them warm together with the snow suits i bought them.

my other half works up by the airport and i have told him the m42 is supposed to be quite bad so he is staying at work much later until it clears. i used to find that everyone used to leave work in the afternoon to get home, the buses and roads were grid locked so i would pop into the pub and by about 6.00 it was fine, i even walked back half way to redditch one year and i was 8 months pregnant.

of course its a worry if you are looking after elderly people and i am only too glad that my step dad is no longer at earlswood as he would have been totally cut off.
..
take care everyone and enjoy the snow. i shall have the sledge out tomorrow

Good morning all

I've decided that the shopping can wait this week, I'm sure we won't starve.

Winter should only happen for a white Christmas and then leave.
