I wouldn't call it clever Jo, I just tried it and developed my own way of working. It took me two years to invent the wheel.
I used to teach pensioners for The Birmingham Retirement Council. (fircone). That was back in the 1980's.

All Matchsticks are straight and square. some are filed like dowels. It's just woodwork in miniature.
