Well Boxing Day is what you said SB, but you and Phil registered on the 22nd as the first members.
Does this mean there still wasn't a forum until Boxing Day?

Morning Astoness,
it's official then. I think I may even go out to work to celebrate.
Perhaps like the Queen, BT should have a birthday today, the day it was born, and an official birthday on Boxing Day.

It's either work or a morning supermarket dash.
I should be alright as I'll be in my car and not subject to public transport. My car isn't four wheel drive but it weighs two tons and has pretty good grip in the snow.

Hello everyone, finally managed to get on one of 4 laptops, they are usually at work or in college.
We have had wall to wall snow since Saturday and it's still snowing now as I type this.
Sorry I never made the xmas do, there was no way of getting there or back.
We have to make a trip to Cheltenham in a couple of hours, one of the range rovers is laid up with a dodgy starter motor, and the other 2 cars are no good in these country lanes, so we have just 1 jeep to ferry everyone about.
There are still no buses or trains running from here.

John

To be honest knowing the village where you are staying I thought there was no way you would make it. Never mind we will have to see if we can arrange something for when the weather clears up. It was a shame that after all Lyn's hard work that the weather was so lousy. As I said it's a ridiculous time to have Christmas if you have a festival when family and friends tend to get together then winter is not the best time to have it. It should be June or July.

12 Months today, it doesn't seem like five minutes ago. I don't think we are doing too bad at all considering the few members we have and the fact that only roughly a third of those are regular posters. We have managed to amass in excess of 33,000 posts. Basically we have managed over an average of 90 posts per day every day for the last 12 months. There are bigger forums than this with a lot bigger memberships than our that would like to be able match those figures.

So to each and every member let me congratulate you for helping to make this forum what it is.

Has anyone noticed the icicles that are hanging eveywhere following todays partial thaw and the subsequent refreeze?
There are some absolute beauties on our guttering, some are nearly two feet long and some are just really thick and heavy.
