Lyn

It was suggested to me by SB that the thread be given its own board because it has rapidly become one of the most used threads. As it helps prevent and cut down on off thread chit chat on other threads I was quite happy to do that.

Not that we want the forum to become too regulated, but we would like to keep it a little tidy. It saves all that extra housework.

You did that years ago, you brought me nothing but bad luck. Remember the night in the Yardley Arms. The Landlady asked us to leave because she said I WAS UNDERAGE. As I recall I was a 24 year old Head Barman of a busy local pub, and you was bloody 17.

Yes but whilst I only looked 14 I behaved as though I were 25.

That's not still bugging you is it? maybe just a lttle?

I was a barman in the Yardley Arms about 65 -67, the gaffers name was Richwood or something similar.
They used to have a talent night in the back room and this one guy used to get up every week and sing The Kentucky Waltz, week in week out, drove every one barmy.

It was one of the few that had to change to Courage due to government interference in market forces.
Courage and Tetley's were always similar in my my mind. it was like drinking M&Bs with added water.

Yes Astoness, SB taught me to drink, however he didn't know I was 17½ until my 18th birthday.
