Very psychedelic Signman.
I had noticed a lot of colour in your photo's of Brighton's pubs, who started that trend?

Yes SB, that is correct. It was going to be camping on the Isle of Wight but there was a change of plan and we camped in at Kiwi's place.
It was 34 years ago.

Remember the woman in the seafood shop? We laughed for days, or at least until we sobered up, after my innocent question about crabs.

Volty I remember the seafood shop in Brighton, but what was so funny? I also remember the cafe with the pinball machines, which we couldn't keep off (the only time in my life I ever played them) and the little pub with the Bar Billiards table. I havn't even seen one of those since. The Sunday Jazz session in that big pub was very good too. That was a good week y'know.

SB, do you remember any of the names of these places, long shot I know, but I was wondering if they were still there to go and take a photo and remind you.

Yes SB, my first holiday without the folks. Please work out the crustacean joke for yourself.
I remember the cafe and the pub, I think the cafe was on the front up toward the nudist beach. I expect that is where the marina is now.
The pub was just down the road from Kiwi's place, I bought my first set of darts at that pub and still have them.
We used to go in the Alahmbra pub which was down near the front, perhaps there was a wax museum next door to it?
Another pub had sherry barrels all lined up behind the bar and a big fireplace.

Well remembered Volty. I know the one pub was a black and white half timbered place
