You would think from all the horn blowing and celebrating in the streets that the government had ordered all our soldiers back home and doubled the strength of the police force.
In the event it would appear that a dozen or so overpaid fairies have finally managed to show that they can do the thing for which they are paid, if only for just 25% of the time.

I am sitting in the garden laughing away at a Blackbird who is entertaining me with his repertoire of song and impressions. I am truly honoured.
Even though some mindless organ donor is trying to drown him out with his pointlessly noisy puttputt and the police and ambulance sirens are wailing around me, as usual, there are still the quiet moments when I can hear the blackbird's friends calling back to him.

What a rare occasion this is, sitting out at sunset and no need for an overcoat.
If you haven't tried it lately I heartily recommend it, G&T optional.

Never tasted Pimms in my life, I prefer my lettuce on a salad, but how many different Pimms are there.

Six Pimms all with diferent alcohol bases. Although not all in regular production.

The new iPhone 4 is released today. I only know this because we pay for our oldest grandchild's still at college mobile phone. She is already driving me barmy to upgrade it to the new phone. Her contract expires in six weeks and I have told her she has got to wait until then.
