As a Governor of a School I think whoever authorised such payments to one Head (if true) should face prosecution. No matter how much money a school has, it is still public money being thrown away.

Something has gone wrong somewhere, I wonder why the building firm that is owed a million pounds was mentioned. Perhaps their fee was sidetracked to pay the headmasters and sons bonus's. The governors must have given their approval of both bonuses plus they must have employed the son as caretaker.

I assume that these bonuses were paid in addition to their salaries.

I have just been reading a little more about this whole affair, it started in January when someone blew the whistle to what was going on.

In June all the governors were sacked by Ed Balls, I can't find any further news since. I suppose this lot we have got in power at the moment will give them a rise for showing imitative.
