ASBO'S

#1 by Sheldonboy , Thu Jul 29, 2010 7:46 am

So ASBO'S are to be scrapped. Well that's OK then. At the many Police meetings that I attend, we are constantly told that crime is down. That would be good news apart from the fact that when I tried to report a serious crime last night Stechford Police never even answered the telephone. This is now the subject of a compliant to the Commander.

So you have the (old) number of Stechford Police?
Well you should have known they won't answer after tea time, they don't want to get involved in any trouble.
Serious Crime Squad are available on 999, they get their mom's to answer the phone but don't let that put you off.

Whats the good of phoning for the police, if they only send a couple of these plastic police who have the power to do precisely nothing. The same as the real coppers who are sitting back at the station or in the local pub want to do, nothing.

I bet doing "Nothing" still requires a bit of triplicate paperwork.

What about the pensioners on a sheltered housing complex in Great Barr who have been threatened with ASBO's because of the late night parties and women sneaking men in at night for sex. Some of them are over 90.

I know what I would do with then, Give them a round of applause and a few bottles for their next party. I hope thats the sort of place I end up in if it ever comes to that.

That just shows how ASBO's are for alleged anti-social behaviour and therefore shouldn't also be applied to the real crimes comitted by thugs, vandals, and petty criminals who need proper legal force applied to their pointless, puny exsistences.
Anyway, surely the whole point of sheltered housing is somewhere you can feel safe enough to enjoy life. not somewhere to sit quietly, waiting to die.

I didn't use the old number for Stechford Volty, the Central switch board tried to put me through. They just didn't answer.
I have had two officers contact me so far with reference to my complaint.
