Hello Chick, welcome to Brummies talking and thanks for taking an interest in us.
Yes the Meadway was just up from where I live. There is an Asda shop on the site now SB

I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

I lived in Kelynmead for about 14 of the most important years of my life.
Never set foot in the Meadway though, with good reason. I only went in the Matchmaker once, and that was just a two minute walk. The Legion was pretty good but the one mile walk to the Nuts beat them all.

Welcome to your forum Chick, I look forward to hearing more of your rminis.... Reminscences..rmicensen........Memories.

Chick I did manage to remember a licencees name from the1960s and that was Jack Ward. Also two of the bar staff from that time Stan and Kath Nash. I don't know if these will bring back any memories for you.
