I remember once when growing up my uncle went fishing at the lakes in Shard End. My dad took me to see how he was getting on. one Sunday morning. I suppose my dad was treading time waiting for the pub to open. But I will never forget when we were there he caught an electric eel. I had never seen anything like it before amazing. Then the bailiff came round and I always remember him saying watch the baby by the water. I was about 10, thanks mate.

I was sitting here thinking and came up with, when we were young we would go over the cow fields in Shard End find a tree and make a swing across the river Cole. What great days we had just swinging from a tree.
