My wife and I came past the Ring O Bells Yardley this week, it's totally demolished now. A really nice half timbered building disappeared.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

It wasn't very old, just a phoney attempt at Victorian vandalised Tudor.
If you lived near it you wouldn't be so sad at its demise.
I could hear it coming down but I didn't even think it worth photographing.

I know the Ring O Bells wasn't an ideal pub, but it was a pub, burned down some time ago. But another one off our local list. For one thing it was an Ansells pub, I was never keen on their beer.
but when you think of some of the local pubs we had:
The Cabin
The Stirrup Cup
The Meadway
The King of bohemia
The Lea Tavern
The Mackadown
The Glebe
The Yew Tree
The Boars Head
and now The Rising Sun formerly the Dovecote.
The St Bernards Grange would be ok if it wasn't a Wacky Warehouse
of course the Chestnut Tree has also gone which was home to some of us for years.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.

Good to hear of an old pub re opening today,
The Woodman Bartholemew Street. Could be a very Shrewd move if the HST comes into Curzon Street it would be very well sited. For the workmen and passengers and staff when the station opens.
I started out with nothing and I've still got most of it left.
