Reminds me of when I was 0 to 4 years old, but we didn't have a posh bow window at the back. We had to go down the back yards to the toilet, even though it wasn't shared, and we had a tin bath in the kitchen. Mostly all I remember of the toilet was the little parrafin heater and the lagging on the pipes. Volty

volty..where i was born in my nans back to back we didnt have a kitchen as such..just a small inlet between the bottom on the stairs and the fire in the living room...just enough space for the cooker and of course the pantry so our bath was always in front of the fire..shared toilets and brewhouse up the back yard...dont you just love them toilets john..lol...just as an after thought here is a pic of nans back yard..you can see the old mangle outside the brewhouse and the toilets are just behind our dad practising his darts...ended up playing for the sports argus..plus many pub teams...
