I don't mind the rich and famous getting even more famous, after all, they have earned it while the rest of us have just lounged around.
I myself will wait patiently for my knighthood for services to the electron containment and mobilisation industry.

What bugs me is that self serving prats like Ringo Starr and Barry Gibb can get one.

Surely they are not as bad as failed politicians who have been found out for fraud, sexual matters,perjury or corruption.Baron Marples, who corruptly helped the decline of the railways while transport minister in order to enrich his own company is a prime example. H fled to Monaco before he could be prosecuted, no doubt helped by the tory establishment.Monaco is the rich equivalent of Spain for those crooks who have a lot of money No doubt Damian green will soon be awarded some honour in the near future

Hadn't heard the honours list when I wrote my earlier post, but Clegg certainly fits the pattern of the others
