Apartment Block Fire in New York

Twelve people have died in a fire at an apartment block in the Bronx.

The dickhead liberal mayor, Bill De Blasio, (Warren Wilhelm Jr.), said this is the deadliest fire in the city for 25 years.
Which city is he referring to?

It can't be New York. The twin towers of the World Trade Centre burnt down in 2001 killing 2606 people.
At the time Billy was busy deciding what to call himself so perhaps that event passed him by.

According to the news it was started by a 3 year old boy who was playing with an oven. I suggest it was started by his Mother who apparently let him.
