The thing about this forum is, you can do what you want and discuss what you want. As long as we all enjoy it. We have very few restrictions here.

totally agree with both of you. I watched a TV program about Bath, after London they get the most visitors, they've really looked after their old buildings, a lovely place to visit. All we've got are glass buildings and shops.
Unfortunately when we are talking about the Planning Department we forget one thing. Big Brother.
I have been involved with many planning applications.
First plans are presented.
Then they are opposed.
Then they go to appeal.
They are almost always passed on appeal.

I my teens I lived in Bristol for a short while, a friend had a flat in Bath. He lived on the top floor of a lovely old Georgian house along the same lines at those of the Royal Crescent. What I found great about the house was his living room floor differed in height 6 inches from one end to the other.
In the bedroom he had his bed on two bricks at the one end to level it up. A survey had been done on the entire house and it was supposed to be safe. As much as I loved the place I was glad I didn't live there.

Phil, sounds great to me, wouldn't it be great if the building was still there.
