dont know what the rest of you think about this ...what i think is not repeatable just read that birmingham was the only city to summit a bid..this will be yet another white elephant as was the new library..im sick and tired of brummies being sold down the river..i dont care what anyone says brum is up to its neck in debt and cant afford this kind of ego trip...crazy crazy crazy

I did wonder how an almost Bankrupt City could hope to stage these cheapo Olympic Games.

It's a bit far ahead for the current council to be thinking isn't it?
They can't get even basic services right.
If we have money for sport then we should have money for Police, Fire, Health, Education, Refuse collection, etc.

The only thing is, volty, none of these give a good opportunity for councillors and the mayor to flounce around and feel important, though if they got all these working properly they would have good reason to feel important
