Our Recycling has been out for two weeks.
We thought they might come last week so left it out and put the green waste out as well as that was due, so last week we had three bins out.
We've only missed one waste collection so far.

Our Household bin was collected last week albeit late. The Recycling bin wasn't. Monday is our collection day. Last weeks recycling bin is still out from last week and this week we put out the Household and Garden bins. The only one collected so far was the garden one. But we pay extra for that.

they need to watch a video of just how hard the job used to be...AND they always bought your bins and hot ash tubs back down the entry and placed them where they were...now of course we are all doing 99% of the work for them..

I emptied our very full recycling bin at the weekend, just tipped it out on the pavement.

Then I put it all back in but with a difference. All the glass bottles went in first, each one smashing the one before.
Drink and food cans were smashed flat with a big rubber hammer and, although we always squash most of the air out of plastic bottles, this time we squashed them completely flat.

Net result is that there is much less air in our bin leaving it just two thirds full.
The peasants next door leave their plastic bottles full of air and now have bags full of them all over the place.

That's not very nice I know who your next door neighbour is.

Wait till they try and wheel it away. It already weighs 50% more than usual and I haven't finished putting stuff in it yet.
Also it saves having to store the stuff or leave it in the street.

This is no surprise to me. This is a filthy area, I used to travel through it to work. Old mattresses, Settees, armchairs, old kids toys and all sorts of other crap is duped outside the houses every day. It's a disgusting neighbourhood anytime.
