I did a job at an egg farm a couple of years ago and bought a couple of dozen thin shells.
Every single one of them was a double yolker.

What happens if they hatch a double yolk egg?

Can't remember asking, perhaps they are sterile.
There wouldn't be room for two normal chicks and there wouldn't be enough albumen to feed two, even if the twin yolks didn't take up more room than a single yolk, so I expect they wouldn't live to hatching age.

I just thought it might result in a chicken with four legs or similar, because knowing todays food producers and supermarkets they would start breeding them.

What about drain pipe trousers that you had to sleep in, because you couldn't get them off after having too much to drink. Something else entirely I remember once having to cut a leather tie off because it wouldn't come undone. It wouldn't have been too bad but it was a mates and I had to replace it. It was a lot of money at least 10/6d.

I would have put light olive oil on the leather tie but I suppose you only had lard?
Which brings us neatly to dripping on toast, with some of the brown jelly from underneath and loads of salt and pepper.
