Prince Philip To Stand Down From Official Duties

#1 by Sheldonboy , Thu May 04, 2017 7:34 pm

95 year old Prince Philip is to retire from Royal duties. Speaking as someone who was glad to retire at 65 I can't say I blame him.

At 91 we wait to see how much longer the Queen can carry out her duties.

Its my own opinion that when anything happens to prince phillip , the queen would abdicate, in favour of charles and camilla.

I have a feeling that the Queen will go on as long as possible. Bearing in mind Prince Charles will be 70 in two years time The throne could quite possibly pass to William. William is 34 now if the Queen goes on until she is 95, William will be 38 a good age to be King. I will be surprised if Charles ever gets Crowned.

I would agree SB. She probably realises that Camilla de Ville and her lapdog would be a disaster for the country almost as bad as Theresa May

We must also remember that The Monarch is also head of The Church Of England. Charles is a divorcee he was married in a Register office to a Divorcee. The Church of England could be a very great lobby to stop him becoming King and head of the church. The Archbishop of Canterbury is a very powerful man.
