evening sb and jo....its still hammering down here and i can hear crash bang wallops going on out the back...our tom went out in his car to get some grub and he said there are floods everywhere...drains not coping..
We are very lucky where we live, we are I am told in one of the highest parts of Brum. When I lived in the flats just up the road (now demolished) you could see over Birmingham Airport.
I've been through a few winter's lyn ,I can remember the winter of 47 that was a bad one ,but never remember one as wet and warm as this one ,it's unnatural.

ive read about the 47 winter jo....i can well remember the 1963 one...up to our armpits in snow...great for us kids..i wouldnt cope with it now though

I remember the 63 winter, walking to school almost crying because our feet were so cold. The school was even colder. If it happened today they would shut the school.
