John I think that they are either selling very old stock around there, or else it is some of those bars that were on the news that are made in Indonesia and transported to UK and sold in York a few hundred yards from the factory where they are made in this country

There are sold around here in packets that are made not to be undone. Like everything else you have to carry a knife around with you to undo the packaging.
I was in a factory yesterday, in their snack vending machine was a 4 bar Kit Kat at just 60p. I think it is about a year old now. VM
